Nordic Gathering #1, 2013

Karlbak invites consultants and project managers across arts and culture industries in the Nordic countries to join Gathering #1 on 28th – 29th november 2013 in Copenhagen.

The gathering aims to discuss how we at a macro level, as players at the entrepreneurial scene, influence politicians, organizations, media etc. can raise awareness on entrepreneurship as well as how how we at a micro level, as individuals, can help to make a difference in the entrepreneurial scene in our own working lives.

Agenda (with updated learnings)

On the agenda were topics such as:

• Mentoring – an advice from the group: Diversity! Think outside the box when you’re looking to find a mentor, it doesn’t have to be one with the same professionalism as yourself.
• IPR – an advice from the group: Look for the good sources, such as artists organizations, acid.org , caki.dk , dkpto.dk …
• Interdisciplinary collaborations – an advice from the group: Find your common goals and leave room for development and change through the cooperation process. Remember trust and transparency as the main factors.
• Incubators – an advice from the group: Be prepared to argue for separate incubators for artists and creative.
• Competitions – an advice from the group: Let us remember to celebrate mistakes! It gives focus and dynamics.

Next step 

The next step in the Nordic network is to cultivate the new personal contacts across countries, continue to share knowledge – both directly between participants, online at www.kreanord.org, in the networks own facebook group – and looking forward to November 2014 when we meet again for Gathering #2.
