The curricular course in Entrepreneurship has been held for bachelor students at the Royal Danish Music Academy since 2010.

Course/workshop: 10 weeks of education, traineeship and a co-operative project

LEARNING GOALS
- Possesses elementary knowledge of the music industry and cultural life in a modern, globalized world
- Can understand and reflect on general practice and relations between the music industry and cultural operators
- Can define and communicate the purpose of employment in the musical life
- Can assess the challenges and issues related to their own career
- Is able to communicate own artistic and pedagogical choices to peers, audiences and media players
- Can work in a creative, investigative and analytical in relation to the music industry and cultural life in a globalized world
- Can relate independently in various professional contexts and engage in relevant interdisciplinary collaboration.
APPROACH
Teoribaseret, praksisforankret, anvendelsesorienteret, kunstnerisk udvikling, forretningsdrevet, der tager afsæt i afprøvningen af livet som selvstændig og ikke simulering, kompetencedrevet og intraprenøriel.
EVALUATION AND GRADING
Students are judged on self-reflection, portfolio / proces book, writings, pitch, prototype of the idea / product (if applicable), peer evaluation, feedback from a mentor or adviser (via placement on the 3rd semester), individual examination and group examination (via the collaborative project in the 3rd semester).
To pass each semester it is a prerequisite that the student submits an online learning portfolio containing the work / tasks that have taken place during the semester. The teacher will announce which online platform to be used.
COURSE DESCRIPTION
It is a prerequisite to pass the semester that tasks should be submitted and approved by the teacher. All tasks must relate theory and / or method of practice. During the BA-course, at least one of the projects should have international or intercultural character.
2. semester: Preparation of resume. Reflection assignment of personal leadership.
3. semester: Internship. Internship report (where the students ready reflect on the importance of networking).
4. semester: Collaborative project. Task in project management.
5. semester: Completed project with subsequent examination paper.
The extent of the written assignments on the 2nd – 4th semester: 2-4 pages.
Examination assignment: 5-7 pages or equivalent video material / available portfolio- content.
The assignment handed in an online learning portfolio.
The assignment should contain at least 2-3 themes from the core areas and should include related literature (theory and / or method).
The assessment is summative after the stated learning objectives, and the student is evaluated according to the grading scale with internal examination.
