Educational Organisation: Creative Industries Finland
Creative Industries Finland (CIF) provides information and services for creative industries developers, policy-makers and key interest groups.
CIF publishes news, facts and figures that support the understanding and development of the creative economy as well as provide bases for foresight.
Another main task is to facilitate annual events and workshops that can provide as a platform for networking and coordination of development activities nationally and internationally.
About CIF
CIF was launched in 2008 as a coordinator for the national Development Program for Business Growth and Internationalization of Creative Industries 2007-2013, a program directed by the Ministry of Education of Finland. It also coordinates and supports the realization of 10-20 development projects funded from the program.
CIF is coordinated by the Small Business Center of the Aalto University School of Economics, in co-operation with the Sibelius Academy, Cities of Helsinki, Tampere and Seinäjoki as well as Jyväskylä Regional Development Company JYKES Ltd. It is funded by the European Union and the Centre for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment of the Häme Region.
