ActinArt network for entrepreneurial thinking in the arts

The mission of ActinArt network is to support and facilitate Nordic/Baltic arts academies’ process in developing entrepreneurial mindset within curricula.

Entrepreneurial mindset refers to a set of hard and soft skills helping students and teachers to increase awareness of the importance of career building, to develop a proactive approach to professional integration and share knowledge of employment opportunities. The importance of ActinArt lies in facilitating students, alumni, faculty and administration of the universities offering them a view of social, managerial, legal and financial aspects of acting in the art world professionally as well as being an educator or administrator.

What they do

ActinArt includes three kinds of programme activities: student and staff mobility, intensive project (a bootcamp) and development project on e-learning. This is realized through student and teacher mobility in particular developing the entrepreneurial skills of the students in an international context. Secondly the network acts as an active forum for discussion and development of future activities and collaboration. Additionally ActinArt continues to carry out a development project through which new teaching methods for entrepreneurial practice are created in form of so called blended learning (contact & online teaching). A specific focus of ActinArt lies in blended learning by including an online mentoring scheme for students.
